Fairbanks Fuel is pleased to be able to offer a Budget Payment Plan to automatic delivery customers who want to spread their fuel costs over a designated number of months to avoid the large fuel bills during the winter months This is how the Budget Payment Plan works: Instead of having unexpected lump-sum bills when oil is delivered, an estimated monthly budget payment is determined by estimating the total dollar amount of heating oil that is required on an annual basis and dividing it by the number of months that the budget is spread over. The budget plan is designed for ten months to begin in August and continue thru May, but other options can be arranged. Budget customers are given a three cent rate decrease off the normal delivery charge, (instead of the three-cent prompt-pay discount), and no service charges will be applied, (even if there is a balance due), as long as payments are being made as agreed. Budget payments are calculated for the estimated heating oil costs only. Other charges on the account (for example, furnace repair), require separate additional payments due thirty days from the time of statement. Budget accounts are reviewed in January to see that payments and deliveries are balancing out. Since the payment is based on estimates, the possibility does exist that, due to many variable factors, (extreme changes in the winter temperatures, changes in the occupancy or the structure of the home, price of fuel, etc.) our original estimate may need an adjustment. If a change in the monthly payment is necessary, we will notify the customer. We appreciate your interest in the Budget Payment Plan and encourage you to contact us if you think that you might be interested, or if you have questions that we can assist with. |
